MSKJ & Co is led by Mayank Jain, a Chartered Accountant (ICAI) and commerce graduate of the University of Delhi. His practice spans Indian direct taxation, high-value transaction advisory and international structuring — a combination shaped by where his career began and the work that followed.

His professional formation was in direct tax. The years spent in compliance, assessments, scrutiny proceedings, appeals and litigation built a deep, practical understanding of how Indian tax law actually operates — before the commissioner, at the tribunal, and in the gap between what the statute says and what the department does. That foundation remains the bedrock of the firm’s tax practice today.

At Ernst & Young’s Strategy & Transactions practice, he moved into large-scale M&A — conducting financial and tax due diligence, preparing business valuations, structuring deals and navigating the regulatory clearances that complex transactions require, on mandates where precision and accountability were non-negotiable.

Today he advises businesses expanding abroad, foreign investors and multinationals entering India, and private clients with cross-border interests. What he brings to each, above the technical work, is clarity — making complex advice coherent, actionable and suited to the commercial reality of the situation.
